Susan Park - North Ribbon Survivor

SUSAN PARK: "I TRIED TO SAVE THEM. I COULDN'T."

Name: Susan Park
Age at incident: 39
Profession: Registered nurse (license revoked for "unauthorized treatment")
Current status: Belt settlement medic

TESTIMONY (Recorded August 2057)

"I'm a nurse. Was a nurse. When the shooting stopped, my training kicked in. I started triaging wounded. Trying to stop bleeding. Checking for pulses. Doing what I could with nothing.

There was a child - maybe 5 years old - shot in the chest. I tried to stop the bleeding. Pressure on the wound. Talking to her, telling her it would be okay. She died in my arms. Her mother was already dead next to her.

I counted seven children dead. SEVEN. What kind of person orders that? What kind of guards follow that order?

I tried to save everyone I could. Some survived because I kept them stable until Authority medics arrived. But so many didn't make it. The wounds were too severe. Too many vital organs hit. These weren't warning shots. These were kill shots.

When Authority medics finally arrived, they were shocked. One told me 'These are execution wounds. Close range. People shot while running away.' That medic was silenced. Transferred. Never heard from again.

The Authority revoked my nursing license afterward. Said I provided 'unauthorized medical treatment' at a 'security incident.' Translation: I saved people they wanted dead, and I talked about what I saw.

I work as a medic in a Belt settlement now. Can't practice legally anymore. But I can tell the truth. Nineteen people were murdered at North Ribbon. I held their bodies. I tried to save them. Isabella Jean killed them. The Authority protects her for it. That's the truth."
